CPD: occupiers in Donetsk region plan to supply mine water instead of drinking water to homes

Representatives of the occupation authorities in Donetsk region came up with another "innovative idea" to overcome the water crisis. The "first deputy prime minister" of the so-called "DPR" Andriy Chertkov stated that it is planned to use mine water for water supply to the population. This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (CCD), informs UNN.

Details

It is noted that similar "experimental solutions" for establishing water supply have been repeatedly voiced by the occupiers.

However, none of these ideas have been implemented. The reason is simple: such projects require large funds and expertise

- indicated in the CCD.

They add that in this way the occupation administration imitates vigorous activity to maintain their positions and access to financial flows from Moscow, while the real problems of the residents of the temporarily occupied territories remain unresolved.

Recall

The CCD stated that Russia systematically turns the issue of water resources in the occupied territories into an instrument of propaganda and justification of the war. The Kremlin uses the "water issue" as a justification for a full-scale invasion, as well as to divert attention from real problems with water supply in the temporarily occupied territories.
