A Ukrainian military intelligence official has denied the use of foreign-made weapons during recent drone strikes on a russian company in Tatarstan that assembles Shakhty drones.

No foreign-made weapons were used during the latest UAV strikes on targets in Yelabuga and Nizhnekamsk . This was stated by a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Andriy Yusov, in a commentary for "Radio Liberty", UNN reports.

Details

According to him, one of the enterprises that was attacked by a UAV was a production facility "for the assembly of 'shaheds' and 'geraniums'. He also said that one of the buildings next to the enterprise was hit by russian air defense.

In particular, we are talking about an enterprise for the assembly of "shaheds" and the so-called "geraniums". And, in fact, the targets were hit. An interesting point is that part of the destruction of other neighboring facilities was the result of russian so-called air defense, missile defense. This is not the first time. When they try to shoot down other targets, they usually do the most damage to themselves

- said the DIU representative.

Yusov was also unable to confirm or deny the involvement of the GUR or the SBU in the events in Tatarstan

We will neither confirm nor deny this officially. But we can see that the noise and clatter on the territory of the aggressor state continues, and it continues at military facilities that are directly involved in russia's genocidal war against Ukraine. We can state that foreign-made weapons and munitions of our partners are not used in these events. This is a fact

- Andriy Yusov emphasized.

Addendum

The representative of the GUR did not explain what exactly could have hit the objects on the territory of the russian Federation, which are located at a distance of more than 1000 kilometers from Ukraine, but assured that the Ukrainian drone industry "is developing very dynamically.

Of course, all the modern technologies that are available in the world are used to improve Ukrainian weapons. In terms of distance, autonomy and accuracy. Yes, we are working on all of this. And modern technologies are used there

- Andriy Yusov noted.

Recall

UNN sources said that the fire at the oil refinery complex in Nizhnekamsk, which was caused by an unknown UAV, was a joint operation of the SBU and the GUR of Ukraine.
