Russian occupants attacked energy and gas infrastructure facilities in Dnipropetrovs'k, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions at night, injuring power engineers and damaging energy facilities, but Ukraine's energy system remains stable thanks to its own generation and imports.

On the night of April 27, Russian occupants attacked energy system facilities, including gas infrastructure, in Dnipropetrovs'k, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions. Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk spoke about the extent of the destruction and the wounded power engineer on the air of "We-Ukraine", UNN reports.

Details

Mr. Kolisnyk noted that there are damages to power generation facilities.

At one of the facilities, a shift supervisor was wounded and sustained a concussion. The enemy also attacked gas infrastructure facilities in the western regions. Despite this, power engineers ensure the stable operation of the power system. We cover our own needs with domestic generation plus imports and emergency assistance from Poland, Slovakia, and Romania, if necessary. This is possible thanks to integration with the United Energy System of Europe

Kolisnyk emphasized.

He emphasized that energy facilities are a key civilian component for providing people with the opportunity to meet their everyday needs, so this is actually a terrorist act.
