Killing of a TCC employee in Lviv on August 21 — attacker notified of suspicion

The 25-year-old Lviv resident stabbed the TCC serviceman three times and threatened a police officer. The serviceman died, and the attacker was notified of suspicion.

In Lviv, a 25-year-old man was notified of suspicion of murdering a military serviceman from a Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center during notification activities. He stabbed him three times, after which he threatened a police officer with a knife. The serviceman died from his injuries, and the attacker was notified of suspicion. This is reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to UNN.

According to the investigation, on August 21 at around 11:00 p.m. in Lviv, during notification activities, servicemen from the Lychakiv-Zaliznytsia District Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center, together with police officers, stopped a 25-year-old local resident and asked him to present his military registration document. Instead, the man failed to comply with the request, began walking away, and then attempted to flee.
After running onto the grounds of a school on Stepan Bandera Street, he pulled out a knife and deliberately stabbed a 55-year-old junior sergeant of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center three times: twice in the neck and once in the forearm. According to law enforcement officers, the attacker, who sustained wounds to his leg and abdomen, was hospitalized and is currently in the hospital. Meanwhile, the serviceman died from his injuries despite resuscitation efforts.
The deceased had been mobilized at the end of June this year and was deemed fit for service in support units based on his health, in connection with which he was assigned to the notification group of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center
At the scene, law enforcement officers seized a knife. Under the procedural guidance of the Halych District Prosecutor's Office of Lviv, the attacker was notified of suspicion of murdering a person in connection with the performance of that person's official duties and threatening to murder an employee of a law enforcement agency in connection with the performance of that employee's official duties (Clause 8, Part 2, Article 115; Part 1, Article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Investigative actions are currently ongoing, and all circumstances of the incident are being established.
