Macron proposed imposing sanctions on gasoline supplies to Russia

French President Emmanuel Macron proposed that allies stop supplying fuel to Russia by imposing sanctions on imports into the Russian Federation. Macron said this during the "Coalition of the Willing," UNN reports. 

My final comment is that we have imposed several sanctions on Russia, and we spoke with Ms. Ursula a few weeks ago. But there is a strong possibility, if you look at the figures for the past few weeks and past months, that Russia is now buying diesel, as well as oil and gas, from third countries because of our actions against the shadow fleet and because of the highly effective actions organized by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I think it is very important that we now impose new sanctions in order to prevent our own certain parties or other entities from supplying the relevant resources to Russia 

He emphasized the importance of developing a corresponding new series of sanctions. 

Until now, there had been no such need because Russia was an exporter, but the situation has now changed because Russia is currently importing. We will be able to be effective when we can do this, since some of the oil and gas is currently being purchased by Swiss companies
