Lviv bids farewell to Stepan Kubiv: how the ceremony took place

On May 20, in Lviv, hundreds of people paid their last respects to Stepan Kubiv. The funeral took place at St. George's Cathedral and the Lychakiv Cemetery.

Today in Lviv, a farewell ceremony was held for Stepan Kubiv, a Ukrainian politician and public figure. Hundreds of people came to pay their respects to the MP: relatives, friends, colleagues, city residents, and government representatives, UNN reports with reference to the Lviv City Council.
Details
The funeral service took place at the St. George's Archcathedral. Afterwards, a city-wide farewell ceremony was held on Rynok Square. The funeral procession then proceeded to the Lychakiv Cemetery, where the burial took place.
As a reminder, Stepan Kubiv passed away in his 65th year. This became known on May 18.
Background
Stepan Kubiv was a Ukrainian politician and public figure, commandant of the Headquarters of National Resistance during the Revolution of Dignity, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, and former Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine.
He was a Member of Parliament of Ukraine of the 7th and 8th convocations (2012–2016), the President's representative in Parliament (2015–2016), and the chairman of the All-Ukrainian "Memorial" Society named after Vasyl Stus.
