Judge of the Kyiv Court of Appeal Viktor Hlynianyi suspended from justice until January 30, 2024 on suspicion of bribery

The High Council of Justice has suspended judge of the Kyiv Court of Appeal Viktor Hlynianyi from administering justice until January 30. He is suspected of taking a bribe, a correspondent of UNN reports.

"The petition of the Deputy Prosecutor General - Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Oleksandr Klymenko is partially satisfied. To temporarily suspend Judge Hlynianyi of the Kyiv Court of Appeal from administering justice until January 30, 2024, in connection with his prosecution," the head of the body, Hryhorii Usyk, announced the decision.

Addendum

The High Anti-Corruption Court remanded Kyiv Court of Appeal judge Viktor Hlynianyi in custody with the possibility of bail in excess of UAH 4.99 million.

Subsequently, Judge Yuriy Slyva was granted bail in the amount of UAH 2.5 million.

Four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, who were caught taking bribes to lift the seizure of property from a private company, were notified of suspicion.

These are Yuriy Slyva, Viktor Hlynianyi, Ihor Palenyk and Viacheslav Dziubin.
