At meetings in Rome with representatives of the Italian parliament, including Stefania Craxi, Chair of the Senate Committee on Defense and International Relations, and Giulio Terzi, Chair of the Commission for European Policy, Italy announced its intention to increase its aid to Ukraine to 2% of GDP.
According to the announcement, this includes military support, which has become necessary due to the growing threat from Russia.
Russia has been and remains the biggest threat to the security of the EU and NATO countries. Therefore, it is very important that our partners increase their own defense spending and military support to Ukraine
Ukraine expressed its gratitude for Italy's previous contributions, in particular for the 8th Military Assistance Package and the transfer of SAMP/T air defense systems.
