According to the IRGC, the Strait of Hormuz is currently "extremely dangerous and completely closed." At the same time, CNN notes that it was unable to independently verify these claims and has reached out to the U.S. Central Command for comment.
The report comes amid a new wave of U.S. airstrikes on Iran, which, according to the U.S. military, are aimed at further weakening Iran's military capabilities.
