Finland states no drones entered its airspace – Prime Minister and President react

The Finnish Defence Forces did not detect any drones in their airspace. Despite this, authorities suspended air traffic and advised citizens to remain cautious.

In Finland, following the morning incident, officials stated that no drones had entered their airspace. This was reported by UNN with reference to yle.fi.

"We have no information or observations indicating that drones entered Finnish territory this time,"
Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo stated that the authorities did not overreact when they advised people to stay indoors and temporarily suspended air traffic.
At the same time, Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated that his country is in constant contact with Ukraine, but warned that they must be prepared for the likelihood of more such situations in the future.

On Friday, May 15, Finland reported that at least one drone had entered their airspace. Helsinki Airport suspended operations, a number of flights were canceled or rescheduled due to the temporary closure of the airspace, and fighter jets were scrambled.
