"By the end of 2025, the European Union will 'be on a par with Russia' in the production of large artillery shells, in particular 155-mm ones," a senior European official said.
"There is some confusion in the numbers you read in the press," the source said, referring to information attributed to NATO intelligence that Moscow produces three million units a year.
"We are talking only about 155-mm shells, if we consider mortar shells and so on, the scenario is already changing," he noted.
Thus, as stated, "the idea is that Europe will be able to support Ukraine's needs.
