Energoatom has completed the construction of one of the key protective structures at the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant. The company reported this on its Telegram channel, according to UNN.

The company noted that the facility has already been erected and is currently undergoing the certification procedure. The progress of the project's implementation was inspected by the head of Energoatom, Pavlo Kovtonyuk, during a working visit to the plant.
The construction was carried out as part of the program to strengthen the security of Ukrainian power units under martial law. The project is aimed at protecting the critical infrastructure of nuclear generation from external threats.
"The construction of this structure is an important stage in ensuring the stable operation of the Rivne NPP. We are acting proactively, creating a reliable shield for our critical infrastructure,"
During a meeting at the Rivne NPP site, the plant management, relevant departments, and contractors also discussed the construction of other protective facilities and the implementation of new engineering solutions to increase the resilience of the energy infrastructure.
Following the visit, plant employees and representatives of contracting organizations were presented with awards for their participation in the construction of protective structures.
