The activity of enemy subversive reconnaissance groups in the Sumy sector has decreased somewhat recently, although daily shelling by Russia in the region continues.
If we give a more detailed assessment of the Sumy direction, fortunately, the activity of the enemy subversive reconnaissance group has decreased somewhat recently, said Andriy Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, on Thursday during a telethon, UNN reports .
Details
"First of all, if we talk about Sumy region, we can characterize the situation as daily shelling, which Russia does not stop carrying out on the territory of Ukraine within this region. Of course, there are also attacks in Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions, but if we give a more detailed assessment of the Sumy direction, fortunately, the activity of the enemy subversive reconnaissance group has decreased somewhat recently.
At the same time, many settlements are located on the border line, and the presence of Ukrainian forces there is complicated by the enemy's actions, so our positions may be located at a certain distance from the border. Sometimes it can be a few hundred meters, sometimes it can be several kilometers, so that our soldiers have the conditions to defend this area and repel the enemy. However, all attempts of the subversive group in such areas are under the full control of Ukrainian defenders, who immediately knock out the enemy," said Demchenko.
