Death toll from Russian strike on Kyiv rises to 16 – rescuers

As a result of the overnight attack on Kyiv, 16 people were killed and 47 were injured. Rescuers continue search operations, and Ukraine is convening the UN Security Council.

The death toll from the Russian strike in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv has risen to 16, including 2 children, UNN reports, citing the State Emergency Service.

According to the State Emergency Service, a total of 47 people were injured as a result of the Russian attack on the capital on the night of May 14, including 2 children.
As a reminder
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha instructed to immediately convene a meeting of the UN Security Council following the massive Russian strike on the night of May 14.

Furthermore, the Foreign Minister announced that in honor of the memory of those killed in the Russian attack, tomorrow, May 15, all Ukrainian foreign diplomatic missions will fly flags at half-mast and open books of condolence.
