Budanov named conditions for exporting Ukrainian weapons to the world market

The head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that today the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex has a unique window of opportunity to occupy its niche in the global market, but the free sale of weapons in the conditions of the hot phase of the war is impossible. Budanov stated this at the Defense Tech Export Forum, UNN reports.

The Ukrainian defense-industrial complex is currently at a point where our experience and technologies have become a global brand. But this status will not be eternal. We have a unique window of opportunity to occupy our niche in the global market. However, we must be frank: the free sale of weapons in the conditions of the hot phase of the war is impossible. This will not be understood by either our military at the front or our Western partners, from whom we ourselves are asking for weapons. I believe that only what is in sufficient surplus, such as naval drones, can be freely sold.

- said Budanov.

According to him, Ukraine can also export weapons that are almost no longer used in our war, but are quite in demand in Asian or African countries, for example, some long-range UAVs or early models of FPV drones.

It is very important to prevent uncontrolled leakage of technologies. We have no right to allow unique Ukrainian developments to fall into the hands of the enemy through the sale of finished products or the creation of dubious "subsidiaries". The future of the Ukrainian defense industry is in technological superiority.

- added Budanov.

He urged manufacturers to focus on integrating artificial intelligence now.
