The nose section dropped several meters, and the cockpit hit the ground hard. According to preliminary data, the aircraft, which was practically new, sustained serious damage.
There were no passengers on board at the time of the accident — only the crew and airport ground staff were present. According to a Lufthansa spokesperson, several employees were injured and received medical assistance.
