Anti-Corruption Court determines a measure of restraint for MP Zadorozhnyi

The court set a bail of UAH 3.028 million and other restrictions for MP Mykola Zadorozhnyi, who was accused of extorting a bribe of UAH 3.4 million for not obstructing infrastructure repairs in Sumy region.
The court imposed a pre-trial restraint on MP Mykola Zadorozhnyi, who is suspected of extortion, in the form of bail of three million 28 thousand hryvnias. This was reported by UNN with reference to a broadcast from the courtroom.
Details
The motion of the senior detective to apply bail as a measure of restraint to be partially granted. To impose on the suspect Mykola Mykolaiovych Zadorozhnyi a bail in the amount of 1 thousand subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons, which is UAH 3 million 28 thousand in monetary terms
Zadorozhnyi was also assigned responsibilities:
- to appear before investigators, prosecutors, investigating judges and courts upon request;
- not to leave Kyiv without permission;
- refrain from communicating with witnesses;
- wear an electronic bracelet.
It should be noted that the prosecutor's office requested a bail of UAH 5 million and an electronic bracelet
Recall
The day before, the SAPO served the MP with a notice of suspicion for extortion of UAH 3.4 million for not interfering with the repair of infrastructure in Sumy region. Zadorozhnyi himself stated that he neither demanded nor received the money.
Later, the Servant of the People faction said that Zadorozhnyi had been expelled from the Servant of the People party for allegedly demanding a bribe for not interfering with the repair of infrastructure in Sumy region.
