French President Emmanuel Macron announced the death of another French peacekeeper who was wounded during an attack in Lebanon last weekend. This was reported by AFP, writes UNN.

The incident occurred on Saturday when peacekeepers were heading to a UN mission outpost in Lebanon. As a result of the shelling, one soldier was killed on the spot, and three others were wounded.
One of the wounded was evacuated to France, but later died of his injuries. Macron announced this on Wednesday.
Circumstances of the attack
According to preliminary data, the shelling could have been carried out by Hezbollah militants, but the group denies its involvement.
The UN Security Council on Monday condemned the killing of a French peacekeeper and called for ensuring the safety of the mission in the region.
