Ukraine's Ambassador to China met with China's Special Representative to discuss Ukraine-China relations. The diplomat also confirmed China's invitation to participate in the Peace Summit to be held in Switzerland in June 2024.
Ambassador of Ukraine to China Pavlo Riabikin met with the Special Representative of the Chinese Government for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui on the Global Peace Summit. This was reported by the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in China, UNN reports.
Details
The ministry said that during the meeting , the parties exchanged views on Ukrainian-Chinese relations, Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and other issues of common interest.
Pavlo Riabikin emphasized the importance of intensifying bilateral political dialogue at all levels and confirmed the invitation to the Chinese side to participate in the Peace Summit to be held in Switzerland in June 2024
Also in the negotiations, the parties noted that mutual respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence is an inviolable basis of Ukrainian-Chinese relations.
Recall
During talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Beijing, Chinese President Xi Jinping said that China supports holding an international peace conference "in due course" but recognized by both Ukraine and Russia.
