Responding to a question about his relationship with the President, Rinat Akhmetov noted that they have not met again since the start of the major war.
"The last time I saw him was on February 23, 2022. Since then, we haven't met; he knows that I am constantly in Ukraine and haven't left anywhere, and I think he knows what I am doing to support Ukraine. So there has been no tension in our relationship since then,"
The businessman also commented on the President's actions following the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.
"Ukraine has stood its ground thanks to the courage and resilience of its people, its armed forces, and the support of the civilized world. And also thanks to the courage and resilience of our President. He deserves great praise for the fact that we can speak now, in Kyiv, in the house where I spent the first hours of the full-scale invasion. He did not flee; he stayed here with us and proved himself to be a courageous person with a strong character. He is doing everything possible to protect our sovereignty, independence, and freedom,"
