Elevated concentrations of fine particulate matter have been recorded in Vyshhorod, Boiarka, Vasylkiv, Obukhiv, Brovary, Ivankiv and Velyka Dymerka. Experts advise keeping windows closed and limiting time spent outdoors.
A temporary deterioration in air quality has been observed in a number of populated areas in the Kyiv region, which may cause breathing discomfort among elderly people, people sensitive to irritants, and children. This was reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (KRMA), UNN writes.
Air quality has deteriorated in the cities of Vyshhorod, Boiarka, Vasylkiv, Obukhiv, and Brovary, as well as in the settlements of Ivankiv and Velyka Dymerka, where an increased concentration of fine particulate matter was recorded
Until the situation improves, experts recommend:
- keep windows closed;
- limit prolonged stays outdoors;
- drink enough water;
- if you have an air purifier, use it at its maximum setting.
At the same time, the level of gamma radiation in the Kyiv region is within the natural background range.
