According to him, all information about launches or preparations for launches comes to the military from partners.
None of us knows and should not know how they obtain this information, but one does not need to be too smart to understand that the main source of information is satellite surveillance of launch sites and a system for recording launch events
He clarified that a missile reaches Kyiv in 2-4 minutes, so time is very limited.
Any system failure will lead to a delay in receiving information. No system can be perfect, so failures occur, and the warning signal may be delayed
He added that there are also frequent cases when "there is an alert, but no launch."
"This happens because satellites record actions at launch sites that precede missile launches, but the launches themselves may not happen for some reason. Remember how many times the false alarm about the Oreshnik sounded? It is the same: reconnaissance satellites visually record activity at the launch site, but whether a launch will occur or not is unclear," the advisor to the Minister of Defense summarized.
