Ukrtransbezpeka disconnected 223 carriers from the Shlyakh system due to illegal travel abroad by persons liable for military service. Since the beginning of 2024, more than 2,000 offenses related to illegal border crossing have been detected.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 223 carriers have been disconnected from the Shlyakh system for violating the rules of crossing the state border by persons liable for military service. UNN reports this with reference to data from the State Border Guard Service.

"Since the beginning of martial law in Ukraine, the Shlyakh system has been used in illegal schemes. Under such schemes, men traveled outside Ukraine as drivers and did not return to Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Ukrtransbezpeka has disconnected 223 carriers from the Shlyakh system for violating the rules of crossing the state border by persons liable for military service, 202 of which were excluded based on the materials of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine," the statement said.

It is reported that since the beginning of 2024 alone, the operational and investigative units of the State Border Guard Service have sent more than 2,000 reports to law enforcement agencies about the detection of signs of offenses under, in particular, criminal articles 332 and 358 of the Criminal Code related to the illegal transportation of persons across the border and forgery of documents.

"Almost 1,500 criminal proceedings have been initiated under these articles of the Criminal Code, and more than 1,700 people have been notified of suspicion of committing criminal offenses. The courts have handed down more than 220 guilty verdicts, of which almost 100 are related to the illegal transportation of persons across the border," the State Border Guard Service informs.
