On July 9, at dawn, border guards detained 23 men who were trying to sneak across the border into Moldova. The group of men was driven to the border by a grain truck by an accomplice of the organizer of the illegal scheme. UNN reports this with reference to the State Border Guard Service.

It turned out that 23 residents of Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Luhansk, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions acted on the instructions of the telegram channel administrator. The latter received from 5 to 16 thousand US dollars from each of them for his help. The offenders paid the full cost of the trip directly to a crypto wallet.
The "tourists" were driven to the border by the organizer's accomplice on a grain truck, from where they set off on foot to the border.
However, the men were detained by border guards on the outskirts of one of the villages in Podil district.
Reports on administrative offenses under Part 2 of Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine" were drawn up against the offenders. The cases will be considered by the court.
The issue of initiating criminal proceedings under Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine" is being decided.
