European G7 member states, as well as the United States, will produce in Ukraine "not only air defense systems, but also deep strike capabilities," a diplomatic source noted.

The United States and several G7 countries will produce long-range missiles and air defense systems under license in Ukraine. This was reported on Wednesday at the G7 summit in Evian by a diplomatic source, according to UNN citing Le Parisien.

"We will produce under license not only air defense systems but also deep-strike capabilities," referring to long-range missiles, a source said on the sidelines of the G7 summit, which is being held in France this year.

In a joint statement, the heads of state and government of the G7 member countries agreed to "increase the supply of additional air defense systems and interceptors, as well as long-range strike capabilities." They also stated they are ready to grant Ukraine licenses to increase military production.

American companies will be able to grant licenses to European manufacturers for this purpose, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz told reporters, adding that he is "very grateful to President Trump for this firm readiness to cooperate." "Currently, we are all producing too little, and this can be compensated for by granting licenses to companies that have such production capacities, including European and Ukrainian companies," he added.

This statement came after the United States announced on Tuesday the reinstatement of certain sanctions on Russian oil, which had been temporarily suspended to counter the sharp rise in oil prices caused by the conflict with Iran.

As a reminder

Fire Point co-owner Denys Shtylerman reported that the company is completing tests of a new long-range missile with a range of up to 850 km and is working on creating a satellite constellation intended to be an alternative to Starlink for Ukraine and Europe. Fire Point is also participating in the creation of the pan-European anti-ballistic shield Freyja based on the FP-7.X interceptor missile.
