Insider Fabrizio Romano reported that Zidane will replace Didier Deschamps as coach of the France national team after the 2026 World Cup. The documents will be signed this month.

Zinedine Zidane will become the next head coach of the French national team, replacing Didier Deschamps, who is set to leave his post after the 2026 World Cup. This is reported by insider Fabrizio Romano, according to UNN.
"Zinedine Zidane will become the next head coach of the French national team — this has been beyond doubt since November, as the decision was made unequivocally. Zidane has already formed his coaching staff, and the documents will be officially signed this month," wrote Romano.
According to Romano, under Zidane's leadership, France will play in the Nations League, as well as in the qualifiers for Euro 2028 and the 2030 World Cup.
Earlier, Romano reported that the current coach of the French national team, Didier Deschamps, under whose leadership "Les Bleus" became world champions in 2018, will leave the team after the 2026 World Cup.
France will play its last match at this World Cup against England in the third-place match, which will take place on the night of July 18-19.
Zidane has officially been without a job since 2021, after leaving Real Madrid.
Earlier, "Zizou," who has 108 caps for France, did not hide his desire to lead the national team, in particular, turning down various clubs.
