Zelenskyy and Macron discussed steps to end the war and preparations for the G7 summit. The leaders also coordinated the results of negotiations with U.S. representatives.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, during which the parties discussed the coordination of further actions to end the war and preparations for upcoming international events. The head of state announced this on the night of June 9, UNN reports.

According to Zelenskyy, during the conversation, they returned to the issues discussed the day before in London and agreed on further steps. The presidents paid special attention to the results of contacts with representatives of the US President.
"I spoke with the President of France – it was very substantive. We once again discussed the main points of our conversation the day before in London and coordinated the next steps. We also discussed the details of the conversation with representatives of the President of the United States,"
The President emphasized the need to make maximum use of diplomatic opportunities to achieve peace and announced preparations for the G7 format.
"We must use all available prospects to intensify diplomacy and bring the end of Russia's war against Ukraine closer. We are preparing for the G7 format in France, and it is important that there are strong results,"
