Zelenskyy clarified that Macron's offer of Western support, including potential deployment of troops, only concerns training of Ukrainian forces in various areas, not direct military intervention.

French President Emmanuel Macron's proposal that "no option" to support Ukraine, including sending Western troops, should be ruled out, only refers to training in various fields, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Le Monde  and FFTV.  The head of state said this in an interview with Le Monde and BFMTV published on March 11, UNN reports.

Zelenskyy says he will discuss options for supporting Ukraine with Macron when the French president arrives in Kyiv

According to him, the most important thing discussed at the European leaders' summit in Paris was cyber defense. "His (Macron's) proposal is positive, we are already working with partners. This is not a military presence, but experts exchange data and intelligence," the head of state said.

According to Zelenskyy, Macron wants Ukraine not to be alone with one or two partners, he wants to create a coalition around Ukraine.

The President noted that in the field of training, "it is no secret that there were training missions for artillery, armored vehicles, defense systems, F16s and combat aircraft.

But Emmanuel (Macron - ed.) is well aware that when we send our soldiers for training, after they return, they also have to adapt to the Ukrainian environment and continue their training there. This process takes twice as long - from the moment they are sent for training to becoming operationally ready on the battlefield. The proposal to shorten the training time, to conduct it entirely in Ukraine, directly adapting it to the conditions of war, is a good one. This does not mean that the French army is going to interfere in Ukraine's affairs, but only that it is going to train in various fields

-the President emphasized.
