To bring about the end of the war and the return of peace, the United States must apply maximum pressure, and Europe must take a clear position. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said what would force Russia to recognize the need for peace during a speech at a meeting of the European Council, UNN reports .
Details
“First: geopolitical clarity for Ukraine and Europe - an invitation to Ukraine to join NATO.
Second: clear progress on Ukraine's EU membership.
Third: strengthening our defense with the promised weapons and air defense systems, as well as urgently equipping our brigades.
Fourth: increasing investment in arms production in Ukraine and Europe to build capacity.
Fifth: maintaining and strengthening sanctions against Russia until a full and lasting peace is achieved.
Sixth, more active use of frozen Russian assets to support peace efforts.
Seventh: social resilience - helping Ukraine rebuild schools, hospitals, and energy infrastructure to ensure normal life. This is proof of the failure of Russia's war,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
