Winners of the 2026 World Cup will receive gold rings

The winners of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will receive custom-made championship rings, bringing one of the most famous American sports traditions to world football. Each ring will be part of a strictly limited edition of 2026 individually numbered pieces. This was reported by the FIFA press service, reports UNN. 

"For the first time in the history of FIFA competitions, the tournament winners will receive custom-made championship rings, bringing one of the most famous American sports traditions to world football. Each ring will be part of a strictly limited edition of 2026 individually numbered pieces, which is a direct tribute to the tournament itself. Of these, 30 will be awarded to the winning team, and 1996 will be available to fans worldwide as an officially licensed product, allowing fans to own a unique piece of World Cup history," FIFA stated. 

One side of the ring features the World Cup trophy, while the other will be personalized to reflect the identity of the winning team. Each ring will be individually numbered, custom-made, and delivered with its own certificate of authenticity.

"Immediately after the final, the captain and head coach of the winning team will receive temporary rings to commemorate the event. Each of the 30 rings for the winners will be personalized before being officially presented later," FIFA added.
