US intercepts sanctioned vessel M/T Tifani with no state affiliation at sea

US Armed Forces inspected the M/T Tifani vessel to combat Iran's support networks. The Pentagon continues to enforce maritime law.
On the night of April 21, US armed forces conducted a review, maritime interdiction, and onboard inspection of the stateless sanctioned vessel "M/T Tifani". This was reported by UNN with reference to the Pentagon.

The US military department noted that they would continue global efforts to enforce maritime law. This is done to "disrupt illicit networks and interdict sanctioned vessels providing material support to Iran, wherever they operate," the Pentagon said.
International waters are not a sanctuary for sanctioned vessels. The Department of Defense will continue to deny illicit actors and their vessels freedom of maneuver in the maritime domain.
