Ukrainian detained in Krakow after threatening YouTubers at Easter market

A 31-year-old Ukrainian man was detained in Poland for threatening YouTubers and damaging a car. The man was fined 9,000 zlotys and may be deported from the country.

In Krakow, police detained a 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen who threatened bloggers while they were filming a video at the Easter market. Law enforcement also sought a restraining order for the man. This was reported by RMF24, writes UNN.

The incident gained publicity after the publication of a video by popular Polish YouTuber Książulo, who was filming a food review at the market in the center of Krakow. The recording shows a passerby first demanding the team remove their masks, and then beginning to act aggressively and make threats. At one point, the man pulled out a knife.
After the incident, the assailant was detained near the Kazimierz district. According to the police, he turned out to be a 31-year-old citizen of Ukraine.
Man fined and placed under surveillance
According to Polish law enforcement, the detainee was issued fines totaling 9,000 zlotys for violating rules regarding the storage of dangerous items in a public place.
In addition, investigators established that this was not the only incident involving him. According to the police, on March 28, the man damaged a car in the center of Krakow. The owner estimated the damages at over 10,000 zlotys. For this crime, he could face up to five years in prison.
Currently, the Ukrainian has been placed under police surveillance. Law enforcement also submitted a request to the Border Guard Service regarding a possible decision for his return to his country of origin.
