Ukraine is ready for any format, we expect the resumption of the trilateral track – Zelenskyy on negotiations with Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Kyiv is ready to resume the negotiation process with Russia in any format and at any time, but this issue currently does not depend on Ukraine. The head of state told journalists about this, as reported by UNN.

According to the President, Ukraine is open to various platforms for meetings, and among the priority countries are those where negotiations have already taken place.

“Honestly, it doesn't depend on us. We are ready for any format at any time. We know the priority countries where meetings have already been held. Turkey is open,”

Zelenskyy said.

At the same time, he emphasized that Ukraine does not consider negotiation platforms on the territory of Russia and Belarus.

“I think this is obvious to everyone. Although, in principle, we are not afraid to meet at any time on any track, except for Russia and Belarus. I emphasize this once again,”

the President noted.

Separately, Zelenskyy reported on constant contacts between the Ukrainian and American negotiating teams and expressed hope for the resumption of the trilateral format.

“I am confident that the trilateral meeting should resume. Yesterday afternoon, our negotiating teams from Ukraine and America communicated with each other. In principle, this happens constantly. Therefore, we very much hope for the return of the trilateral meeting, for the return of the track that leads to the end of the war. We have no questions,”

the Head of State emphasized.
