Ukraine and the US exchange updates on cybersecurity and current needs

The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine met with the US Ambassador for Cyberspace. They discussed cybersecurity, Ukraine's needs, and plans for cooperation, including the development of the Tallinn Mechanism and USAID projects.
Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov met with U.S. State Department Ambassador for Cyberspace and Digital Security Nathaniel Fick. They exchanged important updates on cybersecurity, current needs and plans for the coming months. Now the focus of the Ministry of Digital Transformation is on rethinking Ukraine's cyber strategy and working on cloud legislation, UNN reports.
"Strategic Partnership and Cyber Diplomacy" - met with Nathaniel Fick, U.S. State Department Ambassador for Cyberspace and Digital Security. Within the framework of the Ukraine-U.S. Cyber Dialogue, they held a bilateral meeting and exchanged important updates on cybersecurity, current needs, and plans for the coming months. The focus of the Ministry of Digital Transformation is now on rethinking Ukraine's cyber strategy and working on cloud legislation," Fedorov wrote on Telegram.
He also said that the team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation has taken the lead in the development of the Tallinn Mechanism.
"This is an international format for supporting Ukraine in the field of cybersecurity. Within the interagency group, we have collected the consolidated needs of all agencies and services involved in the state's cyber defense. In addition, we have launched a beta version of the Catalog, which contains civilian infrastructure projects. Partners and donors can browse the catalog, choose a direction, spend money rationally, and strengthen Ukraine's cyber resilience," Fedorov said.
Fedorov expressed gratitude to the United States for its consistent support.
"These include investments, equipment, audits, cyber literacy campaigns, and the launch of cybersecurity education programs at 6 universities. As for the latter, thanks to the USAID project "Cybersecurity of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure," a cyber diagnostics program for Ukrainian businesses was launched. Attention and investment in cybersecurity should become part of the business culture. After all, the active war continues, including in cyberspace. We are stepping up our cooperation, there are even more cool and important projects ahead," the minister wrote.
