Fox News reports on Trump's plans to appoint a high-ranking special envoy for peace talks on Ukraine. The position will be unpaid, as it was during the time of Kurt Volker in 2017-2019.
It is expected that Donald Trump, who won the US election, will soon select a Ukrainian peace envoy to lead negotiations to end the war with Russia. This is reported by Fox News, citing sources, UNN reports.
"You will see a very high-ranking special envoy, a person of great credibility, who will be given the task of finding a solution, of reaching a peaceful settlement. You will see it soon," one of the sources said.
It is noted that this work will not be paid - from 2017 to 2019, Kurt Volker worked as a special representative in the Ukrainian negotiations on a volunteer basis.

The Financial Times, citing sources , reportedthat Trump was "interested" in two points of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Victory Plan.
The Washington Post, citing its own sources, wrote that Trump spoke on the phone with Putin on November 7. One of the interlocutors said that Trump advised Putin not to escalate the war in Ukraine, reminding him of the "significant military presence" of the United States in Europe.
Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs deniesthat it was informed of any phone conversation between Trump and Putin.
The Kremlin denied the fact of Trump's conversation with Putin, as reported by the Washington Post.
