Thunderstorms and squalls are coming to Ukraine: possible rise in water levels in rivers and mudflows in the mountains

Ukraine is facing three days of bad weather - thunderstorms, squalls, and rising water levels. A level I danger, yellow, has been declared. In mountainous areas, small mudflows are possible, reports UNN citing the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

On July 18, during the day, thunderstorms are expected in most western regions, with hail and squalls at speeds of 15–20 m/s in some areas. A level I danger, yellow, has been declared

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center added that on the rivers of Transcarpathia (on the evening of July 18 and during July 19–20), the water will rise by 0.3–1.5 m (without the threat of negative consequences). In places of heavy rainfall, a rapid rise in water on small streams by 0.5–1.0 m is possible, with partial flooding of lowlands, especially in populated areas.

In mountainous areas, small mudflows are possible – a level I danger, yellow, has been declared.

At the same time, despite the rains, an extreme level of fire danger has been declared:
