This year raises several fundamental questions for Ukraine-NATO relations, including the upcoming summit in Washington and other aspects of cooperation, as Ukraine's membership in the Alliance is crucial for real security in Europe, according to President Zelenskyy.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a special meeting on the compatibility and prospects of Ukraine's work with NATO this year. He described what was discussed at the meeting in his evening video address to Ukrainians, UNN reports.

NATO. Today I held a special meeting on our work with the Alliance on interoperability and prospects for this year. All our internationals were there, the Minister of Defense, the international team of the Ministry. This year poses several fundamental questions for the NATO-Ukraine relationship. In particular, this concerns the summit in Washington and many other aspects of cooperation. Only with Ukraine in the Alliance can we count on real security in Europe.

Also during his video address, Zelenskyy mentioned and a meeting  with military and government officials to discuss increasing drone production and testing an integrated electronic warfare control system to protect soldiers and equipment from Russian drones at the front.

Today we talked about the nuances of production, support and financing, contracts, and the necessary flexibility in setting priorities. It is exactly what the war requires that our defense industry should produce - as much as needed, as soon as needed. Obviously, drones in this war will say one of the decisive words for victory, and it should be a Ukrainian word, Ukrainian drones, Ukrainian victory.
