There is no threat of a new Russian offensive against Kyiv, assures the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
A new offensive by Russian troops against Kyiv is not expected. As of now, there is absolutely no threat, said the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov in an interview with the BBC, reports UNN.
Budanov replied that it is "groundless" to talk about a possible second attack on Kyiv.
When asked whether the situation had changed, the DIU chief replied: "It hasn't changed at all.
Budanov also reiterated that "as of now, there is absolutely no threat.

Kyrylo Budanov also said that Ukrainians will face a rather difficult situation, according to the GUR, starting in mid-May.
In an interview with NBC News, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia intends to capture Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region by May 9, but Ukrainian defenders expect to withstand and repel the enemy's offensive.
