The document was supported by 366 congressmen, while 34 votes against belonged to representatives of the Republican Party. The bill must be approved by the Senate and signed by President Joe Biden, who has already expressed his support.

The deadline for passing the bill was Friday night, local time. However, the final version of the bill does not contain the issue of the public debt ceiling, which had previously caused heated debate. The document is aimed at avoiding the consequences of a shutdown, such as the closure of government agencies and layoffs.

Previous attempts to reach an agreement have been stymied by internal Republican disagreements. House Speaker Mike Johnson failed to consolidate his own party, which led to the failure of a vote on an alternative proposal earlier this week.
