The agency emphasizes that the planned repair work is expected to be carried out without stopping train traffic.

According to a tender for the development of project documentation held in November 2023, a working draft of a planned overhaul between these stations is being developed without stopping train traffic

However, the final design decisions will be determined after the state examination.

The company explained that the Pochayna and Tarasa Shevchenko stations of the blue metro line were put into operation in 1980. Due to their physical deterioration, there was a need for a planned overhaul of a part of the tunnel section between the Taras Shevchenko and Pochayna stations.

Recently, the media reported that two metro stations in Kyiv may be closed for repairs, including Pochayna and Taras Shevchenko on the Blue Line of the Kyiv Metro. In addition, the issue of closing the Poshtova Ploshcha station is being discussed at the level of expert discussion.
