According to a tender for the development of project documentation held in November 2023, a working draft of a planned overhaul between these stations is being developed without stopping train traffic
However, the final design decisions will be determined after the state examination.
The company explained that the Pochayna and Tarasa Shevchenko stations of the blue metro line were put into operation in 1980. Due to their physical deterioration, there was a need for a planned overhaul of a part of the tunnel section between the Taras Shevchenko and Pochayna stations.
However, as of today , all stations and transfer tunnels of the Kyiv subway, including the Poshtova Ploshcha, Tarasa Shevchenko, and Pochayna station complexes, are operating as usual, both for passenger transportation and for round-the-clock sheltering of the population during air raids.
Separately, the subway promises that in cases of major repairs and other works that may affect the subway's operation, they will warn citizens in advance about changes in the station schedule.
