The Ministry of Defense initiates monitoring of the institutions that conduct military medical commissions. The doctors of the MEC are responsible for incorrect conclusions on fitness for service.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to initiate the possibility of conducting inspections and monitoring of institutions that conduct military qualification examinations using certain inspection mechanisms. This was stated by the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense Dmytro Lazutkin during a telethon, UNN reports.
If people who should not be called up for health reasons are mobilized to the army, this is a violation of Order No. 402 of the Ministry of Defense. The order spells out everything
According to him, the responsibility for such cases lies with the doctors of the military medical commission (MMC).
In principle, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to initiate the possibility of checks, not so much inspections, but monitoring of the institutions that conduct the VLC using certain inspection mechanisms. Because some things need to be checked permanently. Such inspections are designed to ensure that the rules of mobilization and medical standards are properly implemented, so that there are no violations
Lazutkin noted that if the violation occurred at the stage of medical examination, the responsibility lies with the Ministry of Health and the NHSU within the framework of the concluded agreements.
"If the conclusion of the Military Medical Commission on fitness for service is incorrect, it is the responsibility of the Military Medical Commission, and the Defense Ministry should respond," Lazutkin said.
Addendum
MP Anna Skorokhod stated that doctors at military medical commissions are instructed to recognize men liable for military service as fit for military service. Also, according to her, there are cases when the MCCs form lists according to which certain people are not served with calls.
Lazutkin stated that the fitness for military service for people with HIV depends on the stage of the disease. People with asymptomatic HIV or stable disease are fit for military service.
