The case of half-million bribe of the Deputy Minister of Energy: SBU releases intercepted conversations of corrupt officials

The SBU released intercepted conversations of participants in a corruption scheme to transfer mining equipment. The Deputy Minister of Energy is suspected of receiving a $500,000 bribe to facilitate the deal.
The Security Service of Ukraine has published intercepted conversations of the participants in a large-scale corruption scheme, in the organization of which the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine is suspected, UNN reports with reference to the SBU.
Details
According to the case, in exchange for a $500,000 bribe, the official, using his authority, promised the heads of state-owned enterprises in the Lviv-Volyn coal basin to freely transfer mining equipment from mines in the frontline region of Donetsk Oblast for use.
According to the SBU, the equipment in question is unique and scarce equipment from a state-owned coal company located in the hottest area of the eastern front, Pokrovske.

Earlier, the SBU and NABU, under the procedural supervision of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, as well as with the assistance of the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, exposed the relevant corruption scheme and detained four persons involved in the proceedings.
Pre-trial restraints have been imposed on all of them. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
