Tesla involved in a fatal accident in Kyiv: the driver was notified of suspicion

A 41-year-old driver of a Tesla Model 3 was notified of suspicion in connection with an accident with two fatalities in Kyiv. The woman was driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 1.84 ppm.
The driver of a Tesla Model 3 was served with a notice of suspicion over an accident that killed two people in Kyiv, the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office said on Monday, UNN reports.

"A 41-year-old woman was served a notice of suspicion of committing an accident while intoxicated, which resulted in the death of two passengers (Part 4 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutor's office said.
The accident, as indicated, occurred on the night of December 28, 2024.
"It has been established that the driver of a Tesla Model 3, driving down Vasyl Lypkivsky Street, turning left, lost control of the car, as a result of which it was driven onto the sidewalk, where the car collided with a fence and overturned on its roof," the prosecutor's office said.
As a result of the collision, a 40-year-old passenger and a 41-year-old female passenger of the car reportedly died on the spot from their injuries
"The Drager device recorded 1.84 ppm of alcohol in the driver's blood," the report said.
Currently, the woman has been served a notice of suspicion and the issue of choosing a measure of restraint in the form of detention is being decided.
