Szijjártó believes Ukrainians and Europe "were interested" in a change of government in Hungary

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó believes that the Hungarian elections saw interference coordinated by foreign intelligence services. According to him, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Brussels institutions were interested in a change of government in Hungary. Szijjártó stated this in an interview with Telex, as reported by UNN

“This is undeniable, and I continue to believe that there was a very crude interference in this election process, coordinated by foreign intelligence services. It is also quite obvious that external players, including the Ukrainians, had serious interests regarding the outcome of the Hungarian elections. It is clear that these external actors – President Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian government, Brussels institutions – were not interested in us continuing to govern,”

Szijjártó said.

According to him, Zelenskyy and European leaders were interested in a change of government.

“They were definitely interested in our defeat in the elections, and I continue to believe that they truly crudely interfered in this election process,”

Szijjártó added.
