The Head of State expressed his sincere condolences to the Spanish people in connection with the loss of life as a result of the devastating floods.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Spain for all the assistance provided, the implementation of the bilateral security agreement, and particularly noted the country's contribution to strengthening Ukraine's air defense.
The President spoke about the need for additional air defense capabilities amid Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy sector.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Pedro Sanchez also discussed Ukraine's European integration. The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine expects the opening of the first negotiation clusters early next year.
The leaders also agreed to meet in the near future.
