The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada has signed a bill banning the activities of religious organizations associated with Russia. The document has been sent to the President for signature, and the law will come into force in 30 days.

The chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, has signed a bill  banning the activities of religious organizations associated with Russia in Ukraine. The document was sent to the President for signature. UNN reports this with reference to the bill card.

This refers to the draft law No. 8371 "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on the Activities of Religious Organizations in Ukraine." 

On August 23, it was returned  with the signature of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and sent to the President of Ukraine for signature

The Verkhovna Rada has passed bill No. 8371 banning the activities of religious organizationsaffiliated with the Russian Federation. The law will enter into force in 30 days, but UOC-MP communities will have 9 months to break ties with the Russian Orthodox Church.
