Over the past day, the occupiers fired 18 times at the settlements of Donetsk region. Dozens of buildings in different districts were damaged, 944 people, including 197 children, were evacuated.
On August 7, Russian troops killed 2 residents of Donetsk region. Another 4 people were injured in the region over the day. In total, the enemy fired 18 times at settlements in Donetsk region. This was announced on Thursday by the head of the RMA Vadim Filashkin, reports UNN.

According to Filashkin, the security situation in the region as of the morning of August 8 is as follows:
- Volnovakha district. In Bohoyavlenka of Vuhledar community, 2 houses and an enterprise building were damaged.
- Pokrovsk district. Two private houses were damaged in Kurakhove, another one in Uspenivka. A person was wounded in Promenya of Grodivka community. Also, 1 person was wounded in Novohrodivka.
- Kramatorsk district. In Torske Liman community, 3 houses were destroyed and 3 damaged. The outskirts of Mykolayivka and Kostyantynivka communities are under fire. In Illinivska community, a person was wounded and a house was damaged in Pleshchiyivka, and 8 objects were damaged in Zorya.
- Bakhmut district. In Chasovoyarsk community, 9 private houses and a multi-storey building were damaged. Toretsk suffered four air strikes. Two houses were damaged in Siversk.
