The Russian army has announced the creation of the Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk military groups. Their task will be to protect the border regions and counter drone attacks.

In the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense announced the creation of the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk troop groups, with which a coordination council responsible for the border of Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod regions will interact.
At a meeting with the participation of Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, the areas of responsibility of the members of the Coordination Council from the Russian Defense Ministry were “determined”.
It is also known that the commanders of the above-mentioned groups will be responsible for “protecting citizens and territories from attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles.” It is not specified who will lead the military groups.
