Budapest tells Russian ambassador attacks on Zakarpattia are unacceptable

The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian ambassador over the shelling of Zakarpattia. The head of the department, Anita Orbán, called the attacks on the region unacceptable.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary has summoned the Russian ambassador following Russian strikes on the Zakarpattia region of Ukraine. Budapest stated that attacks on the region, where the Hungarian minority resides, are "unacceptable." This was reported by Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orbán, according to UNN.
I reiterated that the Hungarian government deeply condemns the Russian attacks and expects an immediate cessation of aggression against the civilian population,
According to her, Budapest considers it unacceptable that Russian strikes are now also affecting Zakarpattia, where ethnic Hungarians live.
I told the Russian ambassador that it is absolutely unacceptable for Hungary that Zakarpattia, where Hungarians live, is now also coming under attack,
Orbán also called on Russia to "do everything possible for an immediate ceasefire and the swiftest peaceful conclusion to the war."
