According to Reuters, the total reduction could be up to 500-600 thousand barrels per day compared to the end of 2025. Oil production is a key source of revenue for the Russian economy, so its decline affects the country's budget.
In recent weeks, Ukraine has intensified attacks on Russia's energy infrastructure, including the ports of Ust-Luga, Primorsk, and Novorossiysk, as well as oil refineries.
At the same time, high global oil prices partially compensate for losses to the Russian budget.
